Geolocation is the modern world system where it identifies real time and placement of a geographic location. Before we see this one as the “radar” on movies but today, we can use it through our mobile phones and every living gadget that can be connected in the internet. To put it simply, geolocation utilized coordinates to form the geography and position it in the system so people can see what they are looking for. However, it is becoming more useful by the use of such coordinates to make the search even more specific, like a stress address. Geolocation is used in many fields, one of its known use is tracking animal based, condition, and some tools that are being used in a creature.
There are many things that geolocation uses and here they are.
- TDOA (TIME DIFFERENCE OF ARRIVAL)
TDOA system is utilized when mapping displays or other geographic information. This is basically used when the GPS is unable to be used, thus the geolocation will use the information gathered from cell towards and triangulate it to the precision positon. TDOA was developed through time to make it more useful just like the GPS. Part of this system is the Direction Finding which was discovered then with further developments.
- IP ADDRESS AND OTHER APPLICATIONS
While it can be useful at times, geolocation is nothing without an internet and other compatible technologies these days. This is the very reason why it needs an Internet Protocol (IP), MAC address, RFID and embedded article or a production number, a software number, invoice, a WIFI angle positioning system, device and canvass fingerprint and other related code used to run this kind of system. Geolocation will automatically look up a IP address through WHOIS service to recover a physical address.
- MORE IP ADDRESS
The use of an IP address is important because this includes a lot of information in a certain country, region, city, and even retrieve a postal code. This also connects with the latitude, longitude, and the time zone as well. There are other features that a geolocation can provide through resorting an IP address and that usually depends upon the level of the system one has.
Geolocation can be deductive and this usually depends upon its use and the search that most users are doing in the database especially that there are many internet-applications right now that are being sued for geolocation.
